I found Opcon-A very effective for itchy eyes due to allergies (Florida). My wife had the same itchy eyes and the drops were effective but her eye dilated and affected her vision so she could not continue using them. Age 70′s. She only used the drops in one eye.

My eyes are extremely sensitive and they get red very easily. . .these drops not only relieve the stinging, but they make your eyes SO white afterwards that you look like an airbrushed photo or something, which is great.
Yes, it’s true, they burn like the dickens when you first begin using them, but that actually makes your eyes produce NATURAL tears. . .and we all know that your body’s tears are the best cleanser.

I don’t usually use eye drops, so can’t really compare this to other products. I have springtime allergies, and these drops stung a bit when I first put them in.

These eye drops work well. They sting your eyes, so be warned, but they also do a good job of relieving the itching, watering, and red eyes that go with allergies. I was pleased with the effectiveness and the ease of use. I’ll be sure to keep some around during allergy season. I’ll also be telling all my allergy-suffering friends and family about this product.

Ironically, soon after these drops arrived my five-year-old suffered a terrible reaction to a cat. His eyes were red, watering, and almost swollen shut. I used these drops, and before I could get the Benadryl ready, he was better. Within five minutes the swelling was gone, the redness and tearing too. GREAT!
