I don’t get this gel cover on any level and I wish hadn’t gotten it period. It simply does not serve any purpose. Now I have to fool with sending it back. In order to submit this review I had to give it a star. It doesn’t rate a star.

I’ve used Gelaskins on iPods, and they’re gorgeous (and cover the whole device) — I didn’t realize this covered only the back when I ordered it. If you keep your Kindle in a case, you’re never going to see it. However, it is very attractive, and I recall now that some early reviews of the Kindle 2 complained that the back side is soooooo slippery (it is) — I may keep this anyway because it does make the device less slippery. Gives it a little more of a rubbery grip.

I give this item no stars at all. It was a complete waste of money.

It is absolutely no protection for the kindle and there is no place

to put it when it is removed from the front of the kindle so you may

read the screen. I keep my kindle in a nylon pouch that came with a

Sportsac purse I bought. I consider the other products sold for kindle

protection by the kindle store to be ridiculously overpriced.

On another note, I am happy with my Kindle 2 and I love being able to

have a “book” with me at all times.

I was intrigued by the design and a little unsure of what I was getting. When I learned that it was just a sticker for the back, leaving the front completely unprotected, I was very disappointed. Unfortunately, I had to call Kindle for some help with connectivity issues, and they asked me to peel it off to read some numbers on the back. I stuck it on a notebook temporarily and there it shall stay for posterity. It just wont come off. I ended up buying the $29.99 black Kindle cover and have been very pleased

This is a complete waste of money because most people that have a Kindle will have some type of Kindle cover to keep it protected. I ordered this thing thinking that it would cover my entire Kindle 2, not just the back. I need to cover the front of the Kindle so it won’t get dirty. Why the hell would I need a cover for the back ONLY?!? Ugh! I’m pissed because I wasted my time and money on this crap. Yes, I’m sending it back, but I paid $[...], or something like that for shipping. What happened to the front? Are you kidding me?
